Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association

Building Our Fisheries' Future

Who We Are

The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association (MBARA) builds and deploys artificial reefs off the coast of Mexico Beach, FL, to promote the conservation and environmental improvement of our natural and artificial marine reef systems.

We are a completely volunteer group and raise funds to build these reefs primarily with donations from individuals like you, where 99% of our donations go towards deploying more artificial reefs.

Local Reef Sites

We are a non-profit and since 1997 we have deployed over 275 reefs comprised of more than 4,000 individual structures. MBARA also offers Memorial Reefs where you can build a personalized artificial reef for a loved one, creating a living legacy for generations to come.

Make a Difference

We are a non-profit, and since 1997 we have developed over 275 reefs comprised of more than 4,000 individual structures. Please donate and become a member.
